The Yukon Delta National Wildlife Refuge (YDNWR) In-Season Manager, hereby announces two gillnet and one rod and reel fishing opportunity for federally qualified subsistence users.
Effective August 7 at 4 pm, ADF&G will close fishing in Kuskokwim River Sections 1-3 to protect coho salmon.
In Subsistence Sections 1-5, not including the tributaries in Sections 1-3: Effective noon 12:00 p.m. Monday, July 13th, subsistence fishing will remain open until further notice.
This Temporary Special Action (04-KSCS-26-02) rescinds portions of the previous salmon fishing restrictions announced in Temporary Special Action- 04-KSCS-26-01 within the Kuskokwim River Drainage: Chum Salmon management within all Federal public waters, and Chinook Salmon management within the Kuskokwim River mainstem (not including tributaries), is now rescinded.
Pursuant to authority delegated by the Federal Subsistence Board, the Yukon Delta National Wildlife Refuge In-Season Manager announces additional fishing opportunities for federally qualified subsistence users only.
